2. NFSDX State Engagement

FDA is working with several States participating in the pilot of the National Food Safety Data Exchange (NFSDX), which provides an automated system wherein States can share and exchange food safety information with FDA and other States on a national basis. Pilot State system integration is currently underway, and States have been provided comprehensive documentation to guide their participation in this highly-anticipated project.

3. National Food Safety Data Exchange (NFSDX) Release 1.0

FDA is working to establish a National Food Safety Data Exchange (NFSDX) to provide a tool to allow sharing and the exchange of food safety information, such as inspection findings and Firm information, on a national basis. Several States are currently participating in the NFSDX project’s pilot effort, and development of the system is underway.

Consumers are warned not to use the product even if it does not look or smell spoiled.
