The ORA Schema supports information sharing while enabling universal definitions to provide seamless exchange of regulatory, compliance, and enforcement data between ORA and various internal and external partners. These partners include State regulatory authorities, laboratories, foreign government agencies, and other federal agencies, among others.
FDA is working with several States participating in the pilot of the National Food Safety Data Exchange (NFSDX), which provides an automated system wherein States can share and exchange food safety information with FDA and other States on a national basis. Pilot State system integration is currently underway, and States have been provided comprehensive documentation to guide their participation in this highly-anticipated project.
FDA is working to establish a National Food Safety Data Exchange (NFSDX) to provide a tool to allow sharing and the exchange of food safety information, such as inspection findings and Firm information, on a national basis. Several States are currently participating in the NFSDX project’s pilot effort, and development of the system is underway.
The Partnership for Food Protection (PFP) is a group of dedicated professionals with roles in protecting the food supply and public health. The PFP coordinates representatives from food safety jurisdictions at all levels of government, as well as regulatory associations and other food safety organizations, who have expertise in food and feed, epidemiology, laboratory, animal health, environment, and public health. They work together to support the implementation of an Integrated Food Safety System (IFSS).
